Vancouver

We arrived at our hotel yesterday evening, booked in, showered and went downstairs to have dinner. We are having a room on the 17 floor, rather high when you look outside. We saw some window cleaners hanging on cables outside window washing.
Today we went for a sight tour through Vancouver, there is a bus service called “Hop on, Hop off” you pay for the day and off you go. You can go from stop to stop, hop off go around or visit a shop or area and go back on again. We visited a place called “Totem Poles” where you can see all the totem poles from the Original population of this land. We have not seen any Indians and wondered where they are living.We hopped onto the bus again and went to Granville Island and had some lunch.
You will not believe it but it was fish and ships in a fish restaurant, we hopped in because of rain and cold. Very nice . We then went back on the bus and to the old quarter, we hoped to see some old buildings from 1800 etc but it did not look very nice and because it started raining again we went back to the hotel. Lots of skyscrapers here, Vancouver is full of it and still building. Lots of Chinese here and they told us this was because in the 18 century a lot of Chinese came to build thehad railways. We This is 22 July, lost all other stories.

We walked back to our hotel and hoped to go underneath the hotel in which was a shopping mall but it had already closed, it was 5.30. We went upstairs and had thought to go for dinner but changed our mind and had a lovely snack board with cheese, charcutery and other . A glass of wine to cheer us up and we enjoyed the evening. The next morning we had to leave for the harbour and our trip to Alaska.
